Wedding flowers. They're obviously one of the most important details of your wedding day, right? Especially the bride's bouquet. Right? Here's a funny story about my bridal bouquet on my wedding day. I knew I didn't want a perfectly put together bouquet. I wanted it to look a little natural, like I had picked the flowers myself. I had an idea of holding white ranunculus (my favorite flower) during my February wedding. But then I heard that it wasn't in season. So I switched to Queen Anne's lace, another pretty flower which actually might be a weed? I've always loved it, so I thought it'd make a pretty and unique bouquet. The night before my wedding, the flowers arrived and they were a mess. For some reason, maybe because they weren't in season either, they were very tiny and most of the buds didn't even bloom. So that was a no-go. Somehow I wasn't too stressed about it. I guess I had too much else to think about. So the next day, the wedding day, my husband's Aunt offered to throw together a last-minute bouquet for me on her way into Harleysville PA. She stopped by a big market where they sold produce and called to say that their hydrangeas and baby's breath looked good, and those were the closest she could find to Queen Anne's lace. So I said, "Sounds good to me!". When she arrived, we tied together a giant bouquet that looked very last-minute. As if I'd just been walking through a field and swooped the flowers into my arms out of the grass. And it was perfect.
